Cesar Cerna is a native of Central America. His family moved to the United States when he was 2 years of age. Cesar has had all of his formal education in the United States. After graduating High School from San Gabriel Academy he attended La Sierra University. He went on to graduate from Nova Institute of Health where he obtained his licensure as an X-Ray Technician and a Medical Assistant.
Cesar started working for VHMA in 1988 and has ultimately risen to the position of Back Office Supervisor for the Urgent Care. He is currently enrolled at Loma Linda University where he plans to finish “what he once started”, a career in Nursing. He and his wife (Esperanza) of 30 years reside in the city of Loma Linda. They have 3 daughters, Sophia, Sandra, Sonia, one son-in-law, Adrian, and 3 grandsons. Cesar is an avid reader and he enjoys singing and working on the computer when he is not busy with his family.
Susie Erfurth has worked at VHMA for 22 years. She started in the front office of the former Sunland location as a receptionist and within a few years was transferred to the billing office, where she is now Director of Billing. When Susie is not billing medical insurance for VHMA she can often times be found cooking, scrap-booking, or spending time with her family.
Linda Gomez is a native of Salt lake City, Utah who has made her home in Burbank, California for the last 22 years. She is a graduate of the University of Utah. She was an Emergency Medical Technician at St. Marks Hospital in Utah for 8 years, and a supervisor for the WIC Program for 11 years.
Linda began working at VHMA as a receptionist in 1990. She spent a brief period of time in the Medical Records Department before being elevated to the position of VHMA’s Workers’ Compensation Coordinator which she has occupied since 1992. Linda has now been in the VHMA family for the past 20 years and is very proud of her work and the friendships she has made here.
Brenda Preciado is a bilingual (English/Spanish) multi-tasking young lady that has been working with VHMA since 2001 when she began as a receptionist in the Urgent Care. She quickly moved to the Occupational Care department after receiving training in medical billing at nearby Glendale Community College. For the past 5 years she has held the position of VHMA’s head Occupational Care – Workers’ Compensation ‘Medical Biller’, while simultaneously pursuing a degree in Sociology.
Brenda’s work ethic and diligence has made her a valuable asset to the company.
